Princes Wharf

Part of Bristol’s historic docks and home to M Shed Museum, Princes Wharf is also the location of four Grade II listed electric cargo-handling cranes, the uniquely preserved Bristol Harbour Railway and the mooring spot for MV Balmoral, a classic passenger ship built in 1949 that served as Britain’s most widely travelled excursion vessel, and is now a key part of Bristol’s maritime heritage.

Most recently the wharf has doubled for 1970’s Jamaica’s Port Royal Harbour in Black Cake (Disney+/Hulu), 1940’s Jersey’s St Helier Harbour in Another Mother’s Son, 1940’s Guernsey dockside in The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society and 1950’s Cobh Harbour in Ireland in BAFTA and Golden Globe-nominated film Stan & Ollie.
