Corn Street

Corn Street is one of the oldest parts of Bristol’s Old City. With Broad Street, Wine Street and High Street, it is one of the four streets which met at the Bristol High Cross, the heart of Bristol when it was a walled medieval town.

A trade centre from the 13th century, and the heart of Bristol’s financial district from the 18th century, Corn Street and nearby Clare Street boast numerous Grade II buildings originally built as banks, merchant halls and coffee houses, featuring ornate facades, columns and carvings. All Saints Lane and St Nicholas Market off Corn Street are also versatile and popular for filming.

Shoots in the area include Rivals which filmed an ’80’s TV awards ceremony inside and outside The Harbour Hotel, Doctor Who: The Giggle which filmed major crowd scenes featuring David Tennant and Neil Patrick Harris on Clare Street, Dodger: Christmas which created Victorian London on All Saints Lane and The Trial of Christine Keeler which used Corn Street as the exterior of London’s Old Bailey.
