Redcliffe Caves were formed from sand mining for the production of Bristol Blue Glass. They are a large, well maintained network of caves which are stable and suitable for filming.
Most recently Redcliffe Caves have stood in for the Cornish Tin Mine in Poldark and as Mars for Doctor Who. Several productions have taken place here due to its dark and atmospheric look.
